Collective Beauty Haul

I have accumulated quite an amount of beauty products lately, so I thought I would show you just what has accidentally fallen into my basket the past two times I have been to Boots and Superdrug. Ooh and two Macadamia products from fragrance

Nail polishes.
Adding yet another Barry m gelly hi shine to my collection this time I decided to pick up the colour dragon fruit. It is a mixture of a coral and a pink a definate summer shade. While there I also decided to pick up one of mua's new polishes. The packaging has greatly improved I picked up a lilac pastel shade called frozen yoghurt.

I have been trying to move away from the darker shades of lipstick for the summer so I picked up three new shades. One being Kate moss in shade 07 which is a dark nude and two mua lipsticks in the shades 15 and 16 juicy and nectar, these are orange and coral shades. I love mua lipsticks for £1 you can't go wrong and experiment with different shades.

Real techniques expert face brush.
Will I? Won't I? I have been meaning to pick up this brush for ages,so a few weeks ago I finally gave in. I just had to get it because every blogger only every has good things to say about these brushes. I like how this brush is quite dense and is great for blending liquid foundation.

Rimmel scandal eyes eyeliner.
Since I have the black version of this eyeliner I knew how good they where, but everywhere I went the nude colour had been sold out. I wanted it for day wear and for the inner corners of my eyes. These are great eyeliners, they glide on effortlessly with no tugging or smudging.

Rimmel lasting finish blush.
This blush is in the shade 050 live pink. Nicely pigmented with hints of shimmer, a little goes a long way though.

Macadamia hair products.
Lately I have been on a hair growing mission. So after getting it cut recently I really wanted to buy some products that would help me along with the growing process. I bought the macadamia nourishing leave in cream and the macadamia healing oil spray. I  bought them in the 60ml bottles, which where quite pricey I thought, retailing at nearly 12 euro each. I haven't used these products a lot yet so can't give you a full review on how I got on. Saying that my first impressions are quite good,. Let me know if you would like me too review them in full.

Have you been buying many products this month? Any new ones let me know about them =)

Thanks for reading=)

Monthly Favourites | May

Hey there, another month, another bunch of beauty favourites. Along with my beauty favourites at the end of the post I'm also going to do a favourite you tuber off the month. I really am a bit obsessed with watching you tube videos and there really are some great ones out there. Anyway here is my monthly beauty faves first.

Rimmel Match Perfection
I have been using this foundation alot recently. I have the shade 200 soft beige. I usually keep this foundation for wear in the evening, nights out etc. For me its just to heavy and a more darker shade than I usually use for day wear and work, so when I'm all bronzed up I use this. It blends real easily and gives great coverage. I just bought the real techniques expert face brush so am super excited to pair these two together.

Opi Nail Envy
This is by far the best nail strengthener I've ever used. I try to apply it every other day. I have noticed a great improvement in the length and strength of my nails. I also use it as a base coat before polish. Holy grail product.

Tresemme 24 hr Root Booster Spray
I haven't gone without a bottle of this for the last two years. I have naturally curly hair so I spritz this on the roots of my hair before blow drying. It gives my hair great volume, the bigger the better. Me and flat hair don't get on=)

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick
One of my most used lipsticks this month. I have it in the shade 931 pink pleasure.  This lipstick is a gorgeous muted pink, there creamy and pigmented only downside for me is the staying power isn't great, nevertheless I still really like it.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer
This apocalips is in the colour celestial. Like the lipstick above this is a pink colour, but is a lot more pigmented and has longer staying power. I have been reaching for this for nights out as it stays on for most off the night with one or two touch ups.

Essence  100% Waterproof Eyeliner Pen
I got this product when it was on offer and since then haven't put it down. I think I paid €2 for it which is ridiculous considering how good it is. It has a felt tip, great for flicks and is carbon black.

MUA Undress Me Too Palette
I have done a full review on this palette last month. This has been the only palette I have used this month, with a variety of shades including shimmer and matte eyeshadows, the looks you can create are endless.

I nearly forgot to include the You Tube channel. It is called Melmphs. Her name is Melissa she has a brilliant channel, full of product reviews and tutorials. My all time favourite videos of hers are Friday favourites and a possible poo.Whew. Go check it out you'll see what I mean, she will have you in stitches laughing. Have you done a monthly favourites this month?  Let me know=)

Statement Necklaces

Hey there, how's everyone? When I started this blog about two months ago I had great aspirations for it to be a style and beauty blog, but it seems I still have to get to grips with the style end of it. I was going to do outfit posts, hauls because god knows I do have a bit of a shopping habit but I just haven't got the confidence to do them yet. So today I thought I would dabble a bit into the style department and tell you about a trend that I have loved wearing these past few months and these are statement necklaces.

The above picture just shows a few of my favourites. The top line of necklaces are from New Look and the bottom two from Penney's/Primark.

This one from New Look is by far my favourite, I think it retails for €7.99 and as far as I still know its still in stores. I love the spikes, the detailing and simple silver and black element too it. I usually like to style it with a basic white or black tee but also looks great tucked underneath shirt collars for that real statement look. I will definitely be on the hunt for some more for the summer months, and have been eyeing up some neon designs. Any recommendations on what other shops sell great statement prices, let me know in the comments, thanks=)

Oh My Gosh 555 Silver

Hey there=) So just wanted to do a quick post on this gosh nail polish in the colour 555 silver. I received this as a birthday gift from a good friend of mine, and boy did she pick a good one=)

First of all what I like so much about this polish is the colour. I would describe it as a metallic silver with shimmer,it has great shine and looks amazing when the light hits it.

The consistency is quite thick so it does take a while to dry so just be careful as it can smudge quite easily. On the other hand the reason why I like the thick consistencey of this is that it only takes one coat of polish and its opaque, far better in my opinion than faffing around waiting for one coat to dry to put on another then going streaky grrr...

I really like this polish and can't wait to get experimenting with a black nail art pen on all different designs and ideas. I'm thinking black polka pots or zig zags? Let me know what you think=) Oh sorry about the different lighting effects was just trying to get a good swatch of the colour=)

Garnier Moisture Match

Hey guys, just wanted to give you a little update. If you are following my blog you will see I have given it a little makeover, I was feeling a bit uninspired lately and my blog design was a bit mehhh..if that makes sense=) So I hope you prefer the little overhaul, let me know what you think. Like I said in my last post my next review was going to be on garniers new moisture match moisturisers so here it is.

I have been really into my skincare lately, I don't know why as there's no specific reason but I just keep finding myself picking up bits. I saw these moisturisers being reviewed and I was intrigued to see how they work as the are designed to specific skin types. I picked up the pink one which is formulated for dry skin. I was really indecisive whether to choose this one or the illuminating one. There are five different types which cater for all kinds of skin.

The packaging of these are quite simple. They come in a coloured plastic tube and have 50ml of product. The cream itself is quite thick and creamy, which I really like. I hate nothing more than a cream with a really thin consistency. When I first applied the cream the first thing I noticed was the smell. It smells of quite a strong floral scent, which I really liked. Sometimes heavily scented products can break me out but this was fine and it says on the packaging that its suitable for sensitive skin also. It does take a while for the product to sink into my skin, but I expected this as its formulated towards dry skin. After application at night, in the morning I feel my skin is definitely more hydrated, feels smoother and softer. I have also noticed my make up doesn't get as patchy either in the places where my skin is dry. This product cost me €4.69 in my local Superdrug and I definitely will repurchase. Have you tried these let me know what you think =)

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

Hey guys, how's everyone's week going? I was shopping last week and picked up a few bits and bobs. Super drug had a 3 for 2 offer on all cosmetics and lashes and as usual I couldn't resist. Along with picking up this concealer I also got the foundation to match, some new Barry m gellys, and a Garnier moisture match(which will probably be my next review). Anyway enough rambling onto the concealer.

Being a huge fan off the Rimmel wake me up foundation I had high expectations for this product and luckily enough I wasn't left disappointed. I have the shade 010 ivory which is the same shade as the foundation I have. I think when I repurchase this product again I would choose a shade darker as I thought this was just a little too fair. This concealer comes in a clear plastic tube and it is easy to see how much product your using. I apply this under my eyes to reduce the redness and it really brightens them up. The one thing I like about this concealer compared to the collection lasting perfection is that it didn't cake as much on my skin. With my skin being quite dry too I feel like it moisturises my skin and gives a nice radiant look compared to most of the concealers I own. Overall, I would repurchase this concealer again, but as I said previously in a darker shade. Rimmel have some brilliant products out at the moment, what are your favourites? Thanks for reading =)

Would You Rather - The Beauty Edition Tag

Hey there,am back again, but this time with something different... a tag!! I have been wanting to do one of these for a while now as I think there a fun way to tell people your thoughts, I know the questions are a bit silly but hey that's the whole fun of it. I got the idea off Jade on so definitely go check her out too. Now here goes...

Would you rather loose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks and lip glosses or loose all of your palettes and eye shadows?
I think this is a pretty easy one to start off with,I would definitely rather loose all of my eye shadows and palettes. I am more off a lip junkie than anything so I don't think I would be able to sacrifice them. Generally I don't wear eyeshadow on a day to day basis,so I wouldn't miss it that much. I think you can create a great look with lashings of mascara, flick of eyeliner, and a statement lip.

Would you rather chop all off your hair off or never be able to cut it again?
As a hairdresser I know how important it is to get your hair cut regularly, but I have to admit I have quite a scissor phobia. Saying that I think I would rather chop it all off,as I have naturally curly hair I would be sporting somewhat of an Afro for a while but I'm sure I could manage to rock it some way haha..

Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I would rather have a pink cheek. Its not that I don't like coral I just think there is a endless amount of pink shades so it would be more of a variety to choose from. Especially loving mua blushes at the mo, cheap and cheerful.

If you had a £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or make up?
This is a real easy one for me......clothes. I know right where you shocked..But I literally just have an addiction to clothes shopping I love love love it and could spend all day everyday shopping for clothes. Imagine the damage I could do in New Look, Zara, River Island...I can keep dreaming.

Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?
What kind of a question is this haha..I would rather apply eyeliner as lipstick, as you can get various shades of eyeliner now.

Would you rather only shop at Mac or Sephora?
Unfortunately I've never been to a sephora before so I would go with Mac on this one.

Would you rather only use one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
Again, being the lip junkie, I would go with only using one eye shadow colour. I don't use anything too colourful on my eyes anyway and the lip colour I would choose would be Revlon 001 lilac.

Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Living in Ireland, unfortunately we don't get much off a summer here. It is generally always cold in the summer,so am saying I would rather my winter clothes in summer, just one or two less layers.

Would you rather dark nails or bright nails all year around?
Bright nails. This was a no brainer, I definitely prefer pastel, neon shades in polishes, although saying that I would definitely miss a black nail polish. My favourites at the minute are Barry m gelly hi shine in pomegranate and papaya.

Would you rather give up your favourite lip product or your favourite eye product?
I would rather give up my favourite lip product, don't think I could go without my maybelline colossal volume express mascara, love it!

Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
Easy, messy bun. I love big messy hair so it really wouldn't bother me if I couldn't wear it in a ponytail.

Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip gloss?
I don't think it would bother me too loose the lip gloss as much as it does the polish. I love the look of painted nails and nail art,the looks you can create with nail art too is endless. So reluctantly I would never be able to use lip gloss, but I mostly use lipstick anyway.

Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
Now this is a weird question?.I have to say I would be reaching for the sharpie every day though.

Would you rather live without make up or nail polish?
Easy....nail polish.

Hope you liked this post, I know its a bit different from my usual, and not to serious but since I haven't blogged in a week, I thought this was a fun way to ease back into it. If you do this tag let me know.=) Thanks for reading=)

MUA | Undress me too palette

Hello everyone, today's review is on the undress me too palette. I have been using this palette for the past few weeks now and I friggin love it=)

As you can see there are 12 colours in this palette. There is a mixture of matte and shimmery shades. This is supposed to be a dupe for the sought after naked 2 palette, but I don't own it (unfortunately) so I can't tell you how similar or not they are. The colours in this palette are highly pigmented, buildable and blendable. The shade range varies from a off white/beige colour, great for an inner highlight to a black matte shade which is great for giving a sharp smokey eye effect. Some of the swatches below don't do it great justice but gives a good indication of the colour pay off.

The colours shown are called from top to bottom left to right - naked, devotion, shy, fiery, lavish, dreamy, tranquil, exposed, reveal, wink, obsessed and corrupt. As you can see the shades are a great mixture of neutrals, greys and metallics. My favourites of the bunch are devotion, shy, exposed and reveal. Overall I am very impressed with this palette,I would definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to achieve a day to night look with one palette. And for a bargainous £4, why not, go treat yourself =)

Have you purchased both the urban decay naked and mua undress me too palettes? Do you see any good dupes let me know=)

Skincare | Nivea express hydration primer

Nivea Express Hydration Primer

Hey there, after a long weekend of working and partying,am back again with another review, this time on the Nivea express hydration primer for dry and sensitive skin.

Since I have been so impressed with my Nivea regenerating night cream, when I saw this little jar off magic I decided to give it a go. Also on the plus side it was reduced to 4 euro. This product is a primer and moisturiser combined. I would say its not the best moisturiser I've used, nor the the best primer, but for a quick fix it does the job. The consistency of it is quite watery so you only need a small amount on application. It is nice and lightweight on the skin. The packaging is also really
nice and it comes in a lovely little glass pot. I definitely think you get great value for money with this product as a little goes a long way. Overall I think this is a great quick fix on them days when your rushing out the door, and instead of looking for a few beauty products this is a great grab and go which preforms two functions in one.
Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts?=)

Disapointing Products

Beauty products I regret buying.

Hey everyone, I was trying to sort out my make up storage today(its verging on the ridiculous)when I realised I had a few products that I could do without.  As a beauty hoarder I'm always on the look out for the next best thing,or the"must haves", because of this I have accumulated some stuff that I really didn't need or didn't agree with me.

Probably the oldest of these products is the broadway impress press on manicure. I usually hate wearing false nails as they're just too high maintenance and if you loose one in the progress of a night out, wedding etc it looks dreadful unless you have your glue and extras in tow. So when I saw these I thought it would be the lazy way out, just press on and go. These nails didn't even stay on me for a few hours, they would get caught in my hair, clothing etc, another thing I noticed that if you got any soaps or hand wash underneath them they would lift right off. These were just terrible. On the plus side though I think the colour shades and designs are really varied and eye catching. I'm just after realising I have two Rimmel products in this post, but I am a very big fan of there products. The scandal eyes mascara has to be one of the worst, the brush is huge which disperses way to much product, hard to control and exceptionally clumpy. When I saw the lasting finish 1000 kisses lip stains I was so excited to try them out. I really was impressed with the colour pay off from the stains and they did just that stain. But these would tug on the lips when applied, very drying (even with the balm) and left a strange feeling on the lips. Last of all the gosh bb cream. I don't know why I got it,colour pay off isn't great and certainly doesn't act as a primer, moisturiser, foundation on my skin. Anyway rant over=) Is there any beauty products you have tried that you where left dissapointed by,let me know?

Monthly Favourites | April

April beauty favourites

I never know what to write sometimes at the start of a new blog post, anyone else get that? Or weirdly could just be me. Anyway moving along, today is going to be my April favourites, basically products that I have been reaching for a lot this month. Its not a great amount but after my collective haul at the end of this month I have a feeling May's favourites is going to be on a larger scale.

MUA blusher shade two
If you seen my beauty haul from march you would have seen this little fellow. MUA blushers are £1. This is a gorgeous dusky pink shade, great pigmentation and really complements my skin tone. Its been my go too these last few weeks, great for spring/summer also.

Collection lasting perfection pressed powder 002 medium
Yes as you can see I have hit pan with this product,I really love it and must get on the hunt for re-purchasing soon. This is definitely a contender for Rimmel's stay matte powder which I also have. Between the two of them I would say I have been reaching for this one more. Nice lightweight powder and doesn't look cakey on the skin.

Simple kind to skin cleansing wipes
I only have six words to say for this product - "buy them you won't regret it"

Revlon lip butter
I've had these lip butters since they first came out and I wasn't that fussed about them. They were very hyped up in the beauty world and maybe I had very high expectations. When rummaging through my lip products at the beginning of this month I've decided to give it another go,and now I really like it. My favourite thing is the moisture that this product gives your lips, way more than your average lipstick. This shade is strawberry shortcake.

Lady Gaga fame
I was given this as a gift at Christmas. Firstly I love the packaging so unique and eye catching. This is definitely more suited to evening wear. I wouldn't usually lean towards celebrity perfumes but found an absolute gem here.

Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain
I have the shades honey and darling. These are two pink shades honey being the subtle one and darling the more brighter. These apply really easily, moisturising, don't dry out like a lot of other products similar to this, and have been rummaging around the bottom of my handbag for most of the month.

What's been your go to products for the month of April?=)

Beauty Haul

Collective Haul/Recent beauty buys

Another few weeks gone by another bunch of beauty products bought, whoops!

MUA Power Pouts
I have just recently wrote a post on these lip crayons/balm stains.Overall really impressed but after wearing for a few days now have noticed you have to be careful when applying these as they can easily smudge around the lip line.

MUA Undress Me Too Palette.
Having previously bought the undressed palette when this undress me too palette was released I was excited to try it out. The undress me palette has been my go-to palette for months now,and having tried out a few new looks with the newer palette,I think it will be joining it. Great quality pigmented shadows, and twelve for £4.00 who could complain?

MUA Pro Brow Kit
I have to say this was a bit of a random buy. I did not need a new brow kit as I have one from Calvin Klein that is very good. Saying that what drew me to this MUA pro brow kit was the wax and the dinky little brush and tweezers that came with it. I have been using the wax a while now and seems to be taming my brows down and gives a nice, clean slick look.
Perfect for on the go and travel friendly.

Barry M Nail Paints
There was and possibly still could be a 3 for 2 on all Barry M nail polishes in super drug at the moment,so what better excuse to pick up three new shades. I bought the shades peach melba, cobalt blue and matte white. I got the peach Melba for fingers, cobalt blue for toes and matte white for experimenting with some nail art.

OPI Nail Envy
I had been eyeing up this polish for a few months now,I have read great reviews about it on many a blog. As my hands are in water for long periods off time nearly every other day,my nails have become very weak and began splitting. So on a bid to save some of them I bought this,it says it strengthens and repairs natural nails, fingers crossed. I got this for ten euro relatively cheap I thought,or does that sound about right to you?

Maybelline Colossal Volume Express
One of my all time favourite mascaras. Easy to apply, easy to remove, gives great volume and reasonable length. I go through quite a few off these in a year.

Dainty Doll Blusher and Lipstick
This cream blusher from dainty doll has been my most impressive find in these last few weeks and get this, it was only €2. I got it in shade 002 orange county girl. It looks very pigmented in the picture up above, but when applied this is a gorgeous sheer orange toned blush with a hint of shimmer. Just perfect. The lipstick is also in shade 002 but this is called saucy sailor,a lovely classic red.

Glad Hair Day Intensive Conditioner
What can I say? I think I am slightly obsessed with soap and glory products. I had the miniature version of this and found it did wonders for my hair. After application this leaves my hair smooth and shiny, I usually leave it for long periods of time to really penetrate into the hair, and as always smells divine.

Thanks for reading=)

MUA Power Pout

Hi everyone, hope you all had a nice weekend. Today am going to tell you about mua's new power pout. I placed a sneaky order on the website on Thursday and along with purchasing this product I also got a brow kit and the new undressed two palette, which I will b reviewing soon. There are six different shades in this colour
collection which are called irreplaceable, crazy in love, broken hearted, justify, and the two I decided to buy rendezvous and runway.

Runway is a red with an orange tone and rendezvous a pink-nude.The packaging off these products are very similar to the chubby sticks and the Revlon kissable balm stains. I really like the twist up pen as its super easy to apply. For £3.00 each these lip crayons are great quality, they're quite pigmented and super moisturising.

Rendezvous top, runaway bottom colour.
Having used the kissable balm stains the only differences in my opinion are,the power pout is definitely more moisturising on the lips and the kissable balm stains have a heavier pigmentation. Oh and how could I forget the price difference, retailing at €11.25 euro each in Ireland the kissable balm stains are twice the price off the power pout. Overall I only have good things too say about this product, super moisturising, super shiny, super easy to use and most important super affordable. Next on my list - crazy in love and justify.
What's your favourite shade?

Jimmy Choo Fragrance

Jimmy choo perfume

OK so its quite safe to say that this perfume will be the only thing by jimmy choo that I will probably own,not out of choice but I definitely won't be shelling out on the extraordinary prices for their shoes(no matter how amazing they look). Unless I win the lotto someday,a girl can dream. Saying that I am pretty pleased to have jumped on their perfume bandwagon as I am really enjoying this perfume at the moment.

Now before I start describing this, perfume scents isn't one of my points of expertise, but all try do my best.  I would describe this perfume as a more mature fruity/floral scent. It is described online as "a modern fruity chrypre with warm, rich, woody depths". I really like the smell of this perfume when first sprayed on the skin, the only downside,in my opinion is the staying power which isn't great and only lingers on the skin after a few hours of application. The packaging of this product is really classy and simple.Overall I am happy with my purchase but feel it won't be a holy grail perfume for me. It retails at around €42.00 for 40ml.
Have you tried this perfume, what are your thoughts?

Skincare | daily products

Skincare routine

Now I have to admit I was never really into skincare that much,as I had relatively good skin and never really suffered from spots etc I just thought a quick swipe of a make up wipe would see me on my way,but after reading many a beauty blog I started to see the great range of products out there which cater to all skin types. The items in this post is my everyday products I am using on my skin at the minute(minus simple kind to skin cleansing wipes which I LOVE and need to be re-purchasing asap)

Here are the items, none of these are too expensive and can be got at most pharmacies/drugstores. Everybody's skin is different so these necessarily might  not work for you,I guess its just trial and error to see what works best.

Most nights I start off by using the simple kind to skin cleansing wipes to remove the bulk of my make up. These wipes are so moisturising and soft,I have tried many other types including Garnier,Johnston etc but all seem to break me out and tug on the skin.
Garnier soft essentials cleanser - After that I use the garnier soft essentials cleanser,I squeeze a small amount on to a  cotton pad just to make sure all make up is removed. This cleanser is nice and gentle on the skin.

Garnier soft essentials toner - I never really understood the purpose of a toner but after using it a few times I really noticed a difference. I find it is great for hydrating my skin, cools down my skin and gives my face a nice dewy look.

Simple kind to skin moisturiser - I usually use this moisturiser during the day and before I apply my make up. I definitely can't find fault in any product by Simple.

Nivea regenerating night cream - This has been more of a recent edition to my skincare routine. This cream has a thick consistency and sinks into the skin quite quickly. I can really feel the difference to my skin in the morning when using this the previous night.

Labello - I just whack this on my lips at night to moisturise them for the following day,not the most intense but does the job.

Soap and glory peaches and clean cleansing milk - I tend to use this product on alternative nights just to switch it up from using the garnier cleanser and toner too much. I apply this onto a cotton pad and spread the cleansing milk all over the skin. It melts into the skin great, and of course with all soap and glory products smells divine(peachy obviously;)). Once I feel it has worked its magic I use a warm face/muslin cloth to remove it and proceed to moisturise.

Overall  I'm pretty happy with the products I am using at the moment, but as always on the hunt for new products to try out..

Have you tried any of these products before? Which is your favourite?

OPI Nails

NOTD - OPI baguette me not

This is just a quick post of the colour I'm wearing on my nails today. This shade is a creme finish and is from opi's french collection. This is just a colour I chuck on when I don't want to go with anything to mad on my nails.

Yes it is quite boring, and a strange colour which varies from muted pink with coral, brown undertones.

Its quite opaque with 1/2 coats needed.I like this for now but I wouldn't be re-purchasing in a hurry...

What do you think of this colour? And what are your must haves from opi?

Rimmel Foundations

Rimmel foundations empties/compare and contrast

So I have been going through a lot of foundation lately,as I finished these two bottles around the same time I though I would tell you guys what I thought. The two foundations are the Rimmel lasting finish 25 hour foundation (relatively old) and Rimmel wake me up foundation (newer release). Both shades are ivory, the lightest you can get I believe.

Firstly the rimmel lasting foundation 25 hour foundation.
  • Coverage - medium coverage
  • Price - €9.95
  • Feels heavy on the skin
  • Noticeable staying power
  • Matte finish

Rimmel wake me foundation
  • Coverage - light to medium coverage
  • Price - €10.95
  • Feels lightweight on the skin
  • Staying power of a few hours
  • Dewy/soft finish

There is quite a noticeable difference between the two foundations. The wake me up foundation is great for day time and gives a nice dewy finish,I feel like even though it doesn't last all day it wears off evenly and didn't leave me with any patches or blotches.Where as the Rimmel lasting finish has longer staying power I did find it quite cakey on my skin, especially the dry areas of it.Overall I would re purchase the wake me up foundation again for a quick-go-to-slap-it-on foundation, and after finding rimmels match perfection foundation I don't think I will revert back to the lasting finish....

What's your favourite high street/drugstore foundation at the mo?any recommendations?

                                                           April fashion and beauty wishlist

I have seen a few off these wish list ideas floating around the blogosphere,as I have so many things I wanna get and try out I though I would show you what I've been yearning after.

The new ghd candy collection. As I am a hairdresser I'm always on the look out for new products and equipment, and boy have these ghds caught my eye,I am particularly in love with the mint colour.

Dress from missguided.I have been really loving the neon trend at the minute and I think this dress is perfect for experimenting with and can be dressed up or down for spring/summer.

Macs lipstick in velvet teddy.I feel I definitely have to jump on the Mac lipstick bandwagon sometime soon and I feel this pinked-beige colour would be great to start off with.

I have heard so must hype about this mascara, and I'm really intrigued to see if it is worth it.Quite expensive but definitely worth a try.

I need a new black bag and this one from river island is  the perfect size and shape for me.My must have for April.

Have you many things on your wish list this month?        Would love to hear your thoughts...

Soap and Glory The Daily Smooth Body Butter.

I just had to write a post on this body butter from soap and glory as I think its frigging amazing.Firstly the packaging of all the soap and glory products are so eye catching and witty.(I really am a sucker for nice packaging)Also it comes in a tube instead of a tub which I prefer as its much easier to disperse the product.

My favourite thing about this product is the scent, its scented with rose hip seed oil and cocoa butter, with notes off bergamont, blackcurrant, magnolia, freesia vanilla and musk. This scent lingers on the skin for hours after application.

The consistency is thick and creamy and provides great moisture to the skin. It also sinks into the skin quickly, unlike some other body moisturisers which can leave a greasy type film on the skin. All in all this is my favourite body butter at the minute and will definitely be repurchasing again when I get through this tube...

Ciara Daly Brushes

Ciara Daly Make Up Brush

Three weeks ago now my friend and I travelled the 3 hour journey to Dublin to attend the RDS beauty trade show. This was my second year at the show, although I wasn't as impressed this year as I was the previous,I still made a few purchases that I have enjoyed using.
Prior to going there I had intended on buying a new foundation brush,as the ones I had just weren't cutting the mustard anymore.
I heard the real techniques brushes are great quality but I held off to see if I could find anything at the show. This is the brush I decided on....

Barry M Gelly Hi Shine

I thought I would write my first blog post on a product that has really impressed me these last few weeks. As you can tell by the above heading these are the Barry m gelly hi shine nail paints. These nail polishes have been greatly hyped up in the beauty circle so I thought I would give them a go.

I have two colours in these polishes, these are blood orange and pomegranate.I am really pleased with these colours.Blood orange is a gorgeous, deep staple red and pomegranate a vibrant pink-red.

The formulation of these polishes are lovely. They have quite a thick consistency so only one coat is needed, and they have a thick glossy finish.

Overall,I think these polishes are a great substitute in the gloss stakes for shellac nails and a fraction of the price at only £3.99 each,I am already on the look out for the pastel shades including papaya and greenberry for spring/summer....
